  Bears （in market) 也作名词， are someone who sell shares or goods when they expect the price to fall (LD)
  所以也有这些谐音的 good news bears and bad news bears.

commodity在本文中的意思应该是“大宗商品”， 大宗商品包括能源商品、基础原材料和大宗农产品三类。所以commodity market是大宗商品市场，和您译文中的“消费品市场”是有差别的。
