MacKenzie Isaac
Biography
MacKenzie Isaac, Indianapolis, is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a current master's student in the Health Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. While at Notre Dame, Kenzie launched several initiatives to unite the campus community through discourses on racial identity, faith, and well-being, and she conducted extensive policy and social behavioral research on chronic disease prevention. She currently works with an Indianapolis-based nonprofit to revitalize community spaces and promote safe, active living in the city’s historically African American neighborhoods. Committed to positive youth development at the local and global levels, Kenzie is also actively involved with Omena, a young adult-led organization aiming to end cycles of emotional abuse through peer education. At Oxford, she hopes to complete a doctoral degree in Population Health, focusing her research on how to better prioritize cultural humility in health education curriculum and program development.
