Emma O'Donnell
Biography
Emma graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, concentrating in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Her senior thesis “Measuring Patterns of Reef Fish Biodiversity in Bermuda Using Environmental DNA Metabarcoding” won the prize for the best thesis in ecology. Throughout her undergraduate degree, Emma conducted research on marine conservation and biodiversity in Bermuda and Palau, spending her free time at Princeton teaching barre classes and dancing with eXpressions, a student-led dance company. Emma is currently working at Aon, an insurance brokerage firm, focussing on their climate change strategy for reinsurance. At Oxford, she hopes to pursue her interest in sustainability with a goal to advocate for and to develop solutions for climate change mitigation and resilience in the private sector.
