Ffion Hughes
Biography
Ffion Hughes is completing a Master’s degree in the History of Medicine at Exeter College, Oxford. She holds an Honours BA in History from McGill University, where she engaged in extensive student mental health advocacy. Her current research focuses on the history of colonialism, psychiatry, and mental health in Canada, interests that stem from her years volunteering at homeless shelters in Montréal. She ultimately aims to pursue a career in legal advocacy and policy reform, working with clients experiencing addiction, homelessness, and mental illness. In her free time, Ffion is an avid hiker, runner, cake baker, and crossword puzzler.
