Rutendo Chigora
Biography
Rutendo is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is pursuing a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science on a Penn World Scholarship. She is interested in African development and has done research on microfinance, post-apartheid economic identities, and Sino-African relations. Rutendo is the founder of ZW Connect, a business incubator for community centers geared towards weaning them off an absolute reliance on donations. She is a Benjamin Franklin Scholar recognized for her capacity for interdisciplinary study, a member of the Onyx Senior Honor Society, and is involved in several extracurricular activities at Penn. At Oxford, she intends to join the Blavatnik School of Government's Master of Public Policy program.
