Biography
Josh is a current senior at Princeton University majoring in Molecular Biology and minoring in Gender & Sexuality Studies. He is conducting his thesis research on the effects of gender-affirming medical care on the psychological health and telomere homeostasis of transgender youth. He hopes to identify novel methods for quantifying the benefits of gender-affirming care on both the molecular and macroscopic levels. Spurred by his passion for LGBTQIA+ health, Josh has also written proposals outlining how legislators in the US and the UK can combat the recent attacks on trans youth's access to gender-affirming care, and he has conducted comparative political science research on LGBTQIA+ social policy in Europe and North America. After pursuing studies in social policy and intervention at Oxford, Josh plans to attend medical school and launch a career in health policy to advocate for the rights of LGBTQIA+ patient populations. Josh is also an avid singer and an amateur screenwriter in his spare time.
