Biography
Shera Avi-Yonah is a senior at Harvard College studying History. As an undergraduate, she broke national stories on sexual harassment, workplace abuse, and immigration for The Harvard Crimson, eventually serving as the paper's managing editor. She has also interned at CBS News, the American Prospect, and the Sunday Times Magazine (London). On campus, she wrote for SatireV, a campus humor website, and pursued a senior thesis on Richmond newspapers during the Civil War. At Oxford, she intends to continue her studies of history, examining legal limits to the freedom of the press.
